All missing / late / absent work assigned on or after midterm that you want counted toward your final 3rd term grade must be turned in by March 17, at 3:30 pm,
work submitted after this date will not be eligible for a grade.
What shall I do if I am unexpectedly absent?
1) Check this website. If you can do something at home, one the web, etc., it will be posted on this page.
2) Get notes, assignment names, a summary of the day(s) you were absent, etc. from a FRIEND.
3) When you return, look in the black spinning supply/file box labeled "make up work" on the window sill to check for graphic organizers, worksheets, etc.
4) When you have gotten as much info. from these 3 resources as possible, get instructions / ask questions / talk to Ms. Christiansen, or knowledgeable peers in your class period.
5) You have TWO DAYS (for each single day of absence) after you return from an absence to complete and turn in make up work, after the 2nd day, absentee work will be counted as late, and will be graded down as per the policy outlined on your Open Disclosure.
What shall I do if I know I will be absent in the next few days, weeks, months, etc.?
1) Let Ms. Christiansen know as soon as possible.
2) Keep reminding her frequently that you need any and all work that you can take with you, though sometimes this will not be available or ready to go until shortly before your absence takes place.
3) Check the web, check with friends, etc. to make certain that you are on top of things.
4) You have TWO DAYS (for each single day of absence) after you return from an absence to complete and turn in make up work, after the 2nd day, absentee work will be counted as late, and will be graded down as per the policy outlined on your Open Disclosure.
