"Come and take choice of all my library,
And so beguile thy sorrow..." Titus Andronicus 4.1
Hello All,
I hope that you are all healthy and safe. What an adventure in which we find ourselves. I'm looking forward to continuing our academic development online, and finding new ways to be complex thinkers and problem solvers.
Canvas assignments are up and running. My "office hours" will be from 1:00pm-2:00pm Monday - Friday. Please email me, or send me a message in Canvas, or attend the zoom meetings during my office hours if you need any additional help, have questions, comments, or concerns.
Further, please attend our weekly class zoom meetings as often as possible.
Remember, due dates are a general guideline for you and and to help me, but there will be no penalties for late work while we are conducting class online.
Modules in Canvas labeled "mandatory" are required, and those labeled "enrichment" are available for you as an option, but are not required.
Best Wishes,
-Anna Christiansen
Canvas: We will be using Canvas, an online learning platform frequently. Students log into Canvas either from the Clayton Middle School Student Applications Site, or they may use the Canvas Student App - which can be downloaded onto smart phones. The app requires that you enter "Salt Lake City School District" to find your school, and then the login is easily available. Login username is the students school email address, and the Canvas password is the same password that students use to login to school computers.
To access your student's Canvas account, your student first needs to generate a pairing code. Then, using the generated pairing code, create a Parent account. If you have more than one student, follow the instructions for pairing with additional students. Parents can also download the Canvas Parent App on their phone.
Then here is the Canvas parent login: https://slcschools.instructure.com/login/canvas

Have questions, comments, concerns? I want to hear from you! Please email me at anna.christiansen@slcschools.org.
Absent students should check the website for the work they missed, and collect that work from the black spinning make up work basket in the South-West corner of the room. Students have 48 hours to turn in work from each day of absence, and is considered late, and will be marked as such after the 48 hour turn-in window.
* Help Ms. Christiansen's Classroom! You can help increase the access to technology, classroom library selection, and supplies in Clayton Middle School Classroom 2027. In the "More" tab, under the "Important Links and Documents" page there are links to sites where if you make a purchase, my classroom receives points towards classroom materials. Help extend the strength of your dollar by using the codes provided in the parentheses and you student will have more access to helpful and advanced materials.
